The Forest Experience Centre (WEZ)
At the border with Tyrol you will find the Forest Experience Centre with two different nature trails. The Auwald trail (1.7 km) runs along the river Lech, and the Bergwald trail (1.5 km) goes through the original forest. Both trails are navigable with a pram or a wheelchair, and are free of charge. Kids can really let off steam in nature with climbing opportunities and on the wind chimes and water features. The boards which have been set up provide more information about the nature and history of the area. You can also do the tour if the weather isn’t very good. No refreshments are available, so take food and drink with you.

Tegelberg playground
At the bottom station of the Tegelberg cable car in Schwangau (5 km), there is a large playground with lots of extras such as a giant trampolines, electric cars, a kiosk and a summer toboggan run. The Tegelberg playground is always worth making the detour, also after visiting the castles. With its numerous entertainment facilities, both young and old are guaranteed to have fun.

Summer, sun and play at Weißensee
The swimming facility at Weißensee, 5 km west of the hotel, is ideal for families with children. The swimming area has a shallow bank which is ideal for running in and splashing around. At the edge of the large sunbathing lawn, there is a fantastic playground to play in. During breaks from the swimming, you and your loved ones can enjoy drinks, snacks and ice cream from the kiosk.

Uniquely enjoyable relaxation in the experience pool
ABC Pool Nesselwang
In winter or when it’s raining, we recommend a visit to the experience pool in Nesselwang (15 km). The large bathing and wellness oasis delights with its relaxing atmosphere. The little ones can also get accustomed to the water in the baby pool. Kids of all ages can enjoy themselves on the giant “Crazy Bob” slide. The adults can relax and spend a few cosy hours in the beautifully designed sauna.

Allgäulino indoor playground
Allgäulino – the playground paradise for kids – can be found in Wertach, which can be reached by car in just half an hour. In the massive hall with an area of more than 3000 m², you will find bouncy castles, giant trampolines, electric cars, a 10 m high climbing tower and numerous other items of play equipment. While the kids are happily playing, the parents can lean back and watch the spectacle in peace and quiet in the café.
